Hi! If you don't know me by now, my name is Delanea,
I am 27 years old, and I am addicted to Cabbage Patch
Kids!
I grew up in midwestern Ohio in a small town with my
parents, my sister Lindsay, and my brother Deege. I was five years
old when I got my first Preemie, Giselle Ema. My mom searched
everywhere and finally found Giselle, a #1 bald girl who is wearing
the blue rosebud dress with bonnet. By the time I was ten years old,
I had a collection of about nine kids. I still have all my kids with
their original clothing and birth certificates. I began collecting
again in 1999 when I discovered Cabbage Patch Kids on eBay. My
addiction just grew worse and worse, and that's definitely a good
thing! I've thinned out my collection considerably over the years,
and now I have just over 175 kids with which I am completely
happy.
On the non-cabbie side, I graduated with a degree in
Materials Science & Engineering from Michigan Technological
University, and I am now living in the Cleveland area with my boyfriend, Michael. I miss
Chicago sooo much! I am a sales engineer specializing in the field of image analysis and microhardness testing. So what
do I do? My main function is to lend technical support to our
customers, travel on site for installation of the software and
training of customers, as well as support our sales team by
providing them with information about the software and MHTs to help them sell
the products. It is great to combine my knowledge of materials &
metals with computers - this is my dream job! My projects are
interesting and my job is challenging, so I'm quite content.
When
I'm not working, I spend all of my free time either working out,
hanging out with friends, or enjoying my cabbies and I'm perfectly
happy! :)
